New Challenge - Animal Fun

Hi all,

Today we have the start of our new challenge over at the CreativeCornerChallenge Blog.
The theme this week is "Animal Fun" and Stitchy Bear's digital stamps is our sponsor.
So we could choose a digi from their store to work with, one that fitted our challenge
ofcourse.

Vandaag is de start van een nieuwe challenge op ons wedstrijd blog CreativeCornerChallenge.
Het thema voor deze week is "Animal Fun" en Stitchy Bear's digital stamps is onze sponsor.
We mochten in hun winkel een digi uitkiezen om voor deze challenge te gebruiken.
Uiteraard moest het er één zijn dat betrekking heeft op ons thema.

 

 

So here's my challenge inspiration card.

En hier is dan mijn wedstrijd inspiratie kaartje.

 

 

 

So my image is a Stitchy Bear digi from the hand of Ken Benner and is

called "Dog in Love with a Bone".

When i saw this image i was imediately in love with it.

I added several extra bones to give it some interest and to emphasize

the dogs love for bones. Hope you like it.

Dus mijn afbeelding is een Stitchy Bear digi van de hand van Ken Benner en

het noemt "Dog in Love with a Bone".

Toen ik deze digi zag was ik er zelf op slag verliefd op.

Ik heb verschillende botten toegevoegd om wat extra dimensie in de

kaart te brengen en om de hond zijn liefde voor botten in de verf te zetten.

Distress Inks used black soot + picked raspberry + tumbled glass and last but not least my first new color cracked pistachio (unfortunatly you don't see it LOL i used it on the bottom of my image but i had to cut it shorter and the bugs are covering it. Sigh, next time better !)

CAS Butterfly

Hi all,

Today i finally after a long time can join in a challenge myself.
I have been so busy that i just couldn't find the time to make a card to join a
challenge. But today is the day. And why oh why did i choose such a difficult
challenge ? I absolutely LOVE cas cards but i will be honest, it's rather difficult
for me to make them. I am completely in awe for the people who are very clever in
this. And to make it even more difficult, the challenge theme is to combine 3
previous challenges. That means 3 different themes and still your card needs to
be cas !? Impossible is what i first thought, but i managed, somehow. So here's
my card...

Hoi allemaal,

Vandaag kan ik eindelijk, na een lange tijd nog eens zelf aan een challenge
mee doen. Ik heb het zo druk gehad dat ik er gewoon niet toe kwam. En de kaarten
die ik voor mijn teams maak mee laten doen ? Dat kon. Maar ik had totaal geen
notie van welke wedstrijd thema's er in de lucht waren en dus ook niet of mijn kaart
toepasselijk was voor één van hen. Maar, vandaag is dus de dag. Maar waarom o,
waarom koos ik nu net zo'n moeilijke wedstrijd uit om terug te beginnen ? Ik hou
enorm van CAS kaarten maar om heel eerlijk te zijn, het is niet mijn beste skill om
ze zelf te maken. Ik sta dus vol bewondering voor degenen die er goed in zijn. En
om deze challenge nog moeilijker te maken, het wedstrijd thema is om 3 vorige
challenges te combineren. Jawel, 3 !! Dat wil zeggen 3 verschillende thema's op 1
kaart, en je kaart moet toch cas zijn. Onmogelijk dacht ik aanvankelijk, maar ik ben
erin gelukt, op de één of andere manier LOL. Dus hier is mijn kaartje....

 

I took a piece of white cardstock 15x21 cm and folded it in half.

I stamped the script on it which is a MD stamp Victorian Vintage set

CS0864 and i stamped it with Memento Summer Sky.

The sentiment in the top corner is stamped with Archival Manganese Blue.

The butterfly is also a MD set CS0927 Butterflies & Poppies.

I stamped the butterfly with Versamark and heat set it with WOW ultra

fine white embossing powder. I then coloured the butterfly with

DI ripe persimom and barn door.

Week # 70 Colour Red+White+Blue (blue script & sentiment - white card and

white butterfly - butterfly coloured with red)

Buckwells Inspirational Post - Flowers

Hi all,

Its march 22nd and that means it is time for me to give an inspiration card

for Buckwells monthly challenge.

This month the theme is "FLOWERS" and we are sponsored by

 

A Lil Digi Heaven

And the image i chose from theire store is called Olivia.

So, meet Olivia ...

 

 

Hoi allemaal,

Vandaag is het 22 maart en dat wil zeggen dat het mijn beurt is om een extra

inspiratie kaart te tonen voor Buckwells maandelijkse wedstrijd.

Het thema deze maand is "BLOEMEN" en onze sponsor is zoals je

hierboven ziet A Lil Digi Heaven. De afbeelding die ik in hun winkel heb uitgekozen

om mee te werken noemt "Olivia".

Dus, ontmoet mijn Olivia ...

 

 

I just used silky copper cardstock on which i matted 3 die cuts on

which i added Distress Ink rusty hinge.

I coloured the image with copic markers. On the bottom side i added

roses and on the left and right top side i added small flowers.

 

Ik heb gewoon silky koper kleurig kaartkarton genomen en daarop

3 mal uitsnedes gekleefd die ik gekleurd heb met Distress Ink rusty hinge.

Onderaan heb ik roosjes aangebracht en bovenaan links en rechts

kleine bloemetjes.

New Challenge # 100 - Celebrate

Hi everyone,

First I would like to say a big huge thank you to all of you for your sympathy
words on the passing away of my aunt. I haven't been around a lot lately just to
post my design team cards and the condolence cards but you all are so lovely and
understanding, so thank you so much.

Eerst en vooral wil ik jullie even een welgemeende dank je wel zeggen voor al jullie
betuigingen van medeleven bij het plotse overlijden van mijn tante. Ik ben echt heel
erg weinig hier geweest in blogland, enkel en alleen om mijn kaarten te posten voor
de 3 design teams waar ik bij ben en om mijn condoleance kaartjes te posten. Maar
jullie zijn allemaal zo lief, geduldig en begripvol geweest, dus dank je wel allemaal.

So, over to today's card. Today is the start of a new challenge for the Addicted To
Stamps challenge blog. It is our 100th challenge and the theme is very appropriate
"Celebrate". My card is rather CAS since with the funeral and everything i had
neither a lot of time or desire to make a card. But i did do my best and since our
challenge blog is called addicted to stamps and since I really love stamps, I kept it
to just plain stamping.

En nu over tot de orde van de dag. Vandaag start er bij ons een nieuwe challenge.
En ons is het Addicted To Stamps challenge blog. We zijn alweer toe aan de 100ste
challenge en die heeft het toepasselijke thema "Celebrate". Mijn kaartje is eerder
aan de CAS kant omdat het met de begrafenis en alles mij ontbrak aan veel tijd en
vooral aan zin om een kaart te maken. Maar ik heb toch mijn best proberen te doen
en omdat ons wedstrijd blog addicted to stamps noemt en ik stempel verslaafd ben,
heb ik mij tot de essentie beperkt --- zijnde stempelen.

 

My card has a special shape and therefore was difficult to catch on camera.

When i folded my card i made the front slightly shorter than the back.

I stamped my IndigoBlu Butterfly and i partially cut him out with

scissors, to give the card the special shape.

Also because i stamped my sentiment on the inside and thanks to the

cut out you can see the sentiment. I coloured the butterfly with

six different Distress Ink colours.

To finish i stamped the flowers in red, this is a Joy! Crafts stamp set.

 

 

Mijn kaart heeft een beetje een speciale vorm en was daarom nogal moeilijk

om een foto van te nemen. Ik heb de vlinder gestempeld en dan deels
uitgeknipt. Mijn teksten heb ik aan de binnenzijde gestempeld.
Doordat ik de vlinder heb uitgeknipt voor een deel wordt mijn tekst zichtbaar.
De vlinder heb ik ingekleurd met zes verschillende kleuren Distres inkt.
Als afwerking heb ik rode bloemetjes gestempeld en dit een set van Joy! Crafts

 

Here's the inside of the card and now you can see the cut out better.

 

Hier is de binnenzijde van de kaart en nu kun je de uitsnede beter zien.

 

 

When i push the card down with my finger you can see that because of the

cut out, the sentiment, which is stamped on the inside, is also visible on the outside.

 

Als ik de kaart naar beneden duw met mijn vinger zie je dat dankzij het

uitgesneden deel, de tekst die aan de binnenzijde gestempeld is, ook langs buiten

zichtbaar is.
