Elephant Safari/Olifanten Safari

Morning all,

 

A very early and quick post from me today. Just to show a card

i made for a few challenges. It does remind me of a Safari.

Hope you like it.

Een hele vroege en snelle blogpost vandaag van mij. Om een kaart

te tonen die ik maakte voor enkele challenges.

Deze kaart doet me denken aan een Afrikaanse Safari.

Hopelijk vinden jullie ze leuk.

I think both can count the Summer Heat colors are definitely there and the

 summer heat theme also. What is more hot and summery than an african safari ?

Beach

Hello there all you bloggers,

 

My card for today is very cas and i made it for a few challenges.

One of them being Less is More and theire theme is

"Life's a Beach"

and oh boy was this hard for me. I absolutely have hardly anything

that connects to the beach, no stamps, no die cuts.

And above all therefore no inspiration. Until i saw the

challenge over at SOS who's theme is
"Don't get stressed get de-stressed" Make a project that shows us
how you relax.
And bingo there it was, I love, love flip flops. As soon the weather warms
up after winter i start wearing them. When i'm in my flip flops i am
totally relaxed because i only wear them when i am very cassual.
So i decided to combine flip flops with the beach.
So here's my card.

Hallo daar bloggertjes,

Mijn kaart voor vandaag is heel erg cas en ik maakte ze voor enkele
challenges. Eén van hen is Less is More en hun thema is
"Life's a Beach"
En oh boy had ik het daar reuze moeilijk mee. Ik heb haast niets
dat naar het strand verwijst, geen stempels, geen mallen, geen knipvellen
en daarom dus ook geen inspiratie. Tot ik de challenge zag bij
SOS en hun thema is "Don't get stressed get de-stressed"
Maak een project dat ons toont hoe jij relaxed.
En bingo daar had ik hem. Ik ben gek op teenslippers. Van zodra het
weer wat warmer wordt na de winter stap ik vrolijk rond in
mijn teenslippers. Wanneer ik die draag ben ik totaal 100% relaxed
want ik draag ze enkel tijdens casual tijden. Als ik niet de deur uit ga en niet
opgekleed hoef te zijn en zo. Dus besloot ik teenslippers te
combineren met het strand. En dus is hier mijn kaartje.

I used a white card base on which i matted a white piece on which i
glued two torn strips of paper which i coloured with distress ink salty
ocean. And the bottom of that white piece i coloured with
distress ink tea dye. Stamped my sentiment added the flip flops and done.
Ik heb als basis een witte kaart gebruikt waarop ik weer een stuk wit
heb gekleefd waarop ik twee gescheurde stroken wit papier heb aangebracht
die ik heb gekleurd met DI salty ocean. Het onderste deel heb ik dan
gekleurd met DI tea dye. Mijn tekst gestempeld de flip flops gekleefd en klaar.

Money Plant/Geld Plant

Goedemorgen blogvrienden,

 

Gisteren ben ik niet in blogland geweest want wij hadden een feestje.

Vrienden van ons waren 25 jaar getrouwd en dat mochten wij

mee gaan vieren. Maar, ...

wat geef je cadeau aan een echtpaar dat al 25 jaar zijn leven opbouwt en

dus ook alles al heeft ? Tja, geld dan maar dan kunnen ze

alles samen leggen en iets kopen dat wat duurder is maar wat

ze heel graag willen. Toch ?

Maar laat ik nu toch een bloedhekel hebben aan geld in een envelop

te steken en zo af te geven. OERSAAI !!!!!!

Zelfs als het geld in een zelfgemaakte kaart zit. Maar het was maandag

ochtend en reeds om 17u moesten we op het feest zijn. Dan zit je dus met een

mega tijdgebrek. Toen ging er een lampje branden. Als ik nu eens

een palm plant koop en die vol hang met kleine envelopjes waar

niet alleen geld in zit maar soms ook een mooie SPREUK én én én

FOP envelopjes. Joehoe leuk idee en kost niet veel tijd.

 

Good morning my blogfriends,

 

Yesterday i wasn't around here in blogland because we had a party.

Friends of us were married 25 years en we lucky birds were invited to come

and party. But, ...

what do you give as a present to a couple who is building their live for already 25

years and therefore have everything ? Money then ? So that they can

put all the money they get together to buy something which is a bit more

expensive but they really like ?

But i really hate putting money in an envelope and give just like that.

That is so EXTREMELY BORING !!!!!!!

Even when the money is in a nice handmade card. But it was monday

morning and we had to be at the party at 17:00. I had a huge lack of time.

Then a light went on in my head LOL What if i go and buy a

palm plant and hang on the leaves mini envelopes with money, wedding

proverbs and, and, and FAKE envelopes which are empty. Joehoe

great idea and it won't cost me a lot of time.

 

 

So here are the pictures, at the end there is also a card.

Dus hier zijn de foto's, op het einde is er ook een kaart.

 Helemaal aangekleed. All dressed up.

 

 

Helemaal bovenaan in de plant heb ik een zwart blikvanger envelopje

gestoken. Met hun initialen op twee zilveren paperclips met 25 en dit

envelopje is leeg. Tenminste er zit een klein kaartje in waarop staat: "OEPS, leeg !

Zouden ze allemaal zo zijn ? Ga snel op onderzoek uit." Om hun een hint

te geven.

Completely at the top of the plant i put a black envelope the eye catcher

with theire initials, congrats on your 25th anniversary and two silver

paperclips with the numbers 25. This envelope is empty. At least

there's a little card inside which says:" Oops, empty !

Are all of them empty ? Go search and find out. " This is to

give them a hint.

 

In het gouden envelopje hierboven zit ook geen geld enkel een kaartje

waarop staat. "Oei ook al leeg. Niet alles wat blinkt is goud."

The golden envelope you see here above is also empty. Just a little card

that says. Oh no, also empty. Not everything that shines is gold."

 

In enkele envelopjes zitten volgende spreuken verspreid:

 

Liefde en tederheid kennen geen ouderdom.

Liefde lijkt heel snel te groeien maar is eigenlijk heel traag.

Niemand weet echt wat liefde is, totdat je bent 25 jaar bij elkaar.

Een blik, een woord, een stille wenk. Elkaar zo kennen is een geschenk.

Met de onzichtbare draden van de liefde is men het stevigst gebonden.

 

 

In some envelopes spread around the plant i put following proverbs:

 

Love and tenderness know no age.

Love seems to grow very fast but actually is very slow.

No one knows exactly what love really is until you are together

25 years.

A look, a word, a silent nod

knowing each other that good is a gift

With the invisible threads of love,

one is bound the most solid.

 



 

Een mooie grote vlinder om de stam wat op te fleuren

A nice big butterfly to perk up the trunk.

 

 

Onderaan de stammetjes heb ik op zilverpapier mijn kaart gezet.

At the bottom in front of the trunks i put my card on silver foil.

Twee jaar geleden heb ik voor een huwelijk een grotere stunt uitgehaald en

heb ik een volledige huwelijksboot in karton gemaakt. Vol met geld pakjes.

Two years ago i pulled a big stunt for a wedding by making a huge

wedding boat in cardstock full with little packages with money in. If you

Back then i didn't write my posts in two languages yet. But there are lots of pictures.

Big Butterfly

Hello my lovely's

 

Hope all is well with you and that you're enjoying your sunday.

Today i have a butterfly card for you, one that i made for a few

challenges.

 

Hallo lieve bloggertjes,

 

Hopelijk is alles okay met jullie en zijn jullie aan het genieten van je zondag.

Vandaag heb ik een vlinder kaart voor jullie die ik gemaakt heb voor

enkele challenges.

 

 

I first cut my base card which is plain white cardstock.

I placed one side in between a butterfly embossing folder. But because

my pattern couldn't be upside down i had to cut open the top of my

embossing folder so that i could slide through my card. If you do this

you have to be very careful so that you don't end up with two loose half parts.

 

Then i layered a green panel, a white panel. On 1/3 of the white panel

i put some DP on the top i added a metal butterfly charm.

Right bottom i stamped my sentiment which says "A card because...."

 

Then the butterfly is stamped with versamark on vellum and heat set

with green glitter embossing powder. Then i hand cut the butterfly

added some gem stones and adhered it to my card with a glue dot.

Some green ribbon and all done.

 

Ik heb eerst mijn basis op maat gesneden welk gewoon wit kaartkarton is.

Dan heb ik het onderste deel tussen een vlinder embossing folder gestoken.

Maar omdat de tekening niet op zijn kop mocht staan heb ik de

bovenzijde van de folder, de plooi rand dus open gesneden om dan mijn

kaart ertussen te kunnen schuiven. Zo staat je tekening niet op z'n kop.

Als je dit doet moet je natuurlijk wel heel voorzichtig zijn dat je niet te ver

snijd want dan eindig je met twee losse stukken.

 

Vervolgens heb ik een groen paneel, daarop terug wit en op 1/3 van het

wit een strook DP aan de bovenzijde een metalen vlinder charm.

Rechts onder een tekstje.

 

De grote vlinder heb ik met versamark gestempeld op vellum en

er groen glitter embossing poeder op gedaan. Daarna de vlinder met de hand

uitgeknipt en vastgekleefd met een grote glue dot.

Nog wat groen lint en klaar.

 

 

 

I also stamped a little on the inside.

Ook aan de binnenzijde wat gestempeld.

 

 

Also the envelope needed to be a match with the card.

En ook de omslag moet er mooi bijpassen ;-)

Wedding Bells are Ringing

Hi everyone,

 

 

Today's the day for the start of our new challenge over at the

Creative Corner Challenges blog.

And the theme for this challenge is "Wedding Bells are Ringing"

You can make anything you like as long as it fits our theme.

Personally i really love making wedding cards. And especially for our

challenge blog followers i have added a few extra inspiration cards.

The extra cards are not new ones i just added them for some

extra inspiration.

 

Hoi allemaal,

One Layer Male again

Hello there everyone,

I just couldn't help myself and in a lost moment i just had to make

a second one layer-masculin card. Since i find it so hard to do i

just had to push myself and have another try.

So here's my second one layer masculin card.

 

Hallo daar allemaal,

Ik kon het niet helpen, in een verloren momentje moest ik gewoon

nog een tweede 1 laags mannen kaart maken. Aangezien ik

dit heel moeilijk om te maken vind, moest ik mezelf weer pushen en

dat tikkeltje extra doen maw nog een kaart.

Dus hier is mijn tweede 1 laags mannen kaart.

 

 

This time i have been heat embossing, i love doing that. I stamped my image,

heat set it with copper embossing powder. I cut out a circle in sheap

copy paper and masked off my card. I added 2 brown colours of distress ink

then stamped my script in second generation stamping. With a sponge and

the darkest tone distress ink i went all around the edge of my card, to frame

it. Added the sentiments and the gears or cogs also in second generation

stamping.

 

Ditmaal heb ik met de heattool en embossing poeder gewerkt, doe ik

héél graag. Ik heb mijn afbeelding gestempeld en dan bewerkt

met copper embossing poeder. Uit een vel goedkoop copy papier een

cirkel gestanst en daarmee mijn kaart afgeplakt. Dan de cirkel gekleurd

met twee soorten bruine Distress inkt. Mijn schrift stempel erop gezet in

tweede generatie stempelen. Met een sponsje en de donkerste kleur

Distress inkt helemaal rondomrond de rand bewerkt om de kaart een

kader te geven. De teksten erop gezet en nog wat gears gestempeld in

tweede generatie.

De briefomslag heb ik ook versierd.

One layer

Hoi allemaal,

 

Nog steeds niet veel tijd om mee te doen aan challenges.

Ben nog volle bak bezig om alle voorbeeld en workshop kaarten

klaar te krijgen en alle materialen te bestellen voor de beurzen en hobbydagen

die er aankomen. Vanaf september begint het seizoen en ik ben graag op tijd klaar.

Maar mijn geliefde Less Is More challenge kon ik niet links laten liggen.

 

 

Hi everyone,

 

Still not so much time to join in challenges.

I am full speed ahead being bussy with getting readdy for all the hobby

fairs and other events i will be on. Have to get all the samples readdy and all

the workshop cards and order all the supplies needed for the different events.

And i like to be readdy on time, september the new season starts so....

BUT my beloved Less Is More challenge gets priority above all challenges.

I have learned so much by participating in these challenges and still am.

 

 

Dus hier is mijn kaart. So here's my card.

 

Theme is One Layer AND Masculine

 

The one layers are always the most difficult ones ;-)

 

 

 

Met Distress inkten heb ik de strook gemaakt dan in derde generatie

stempelen de uurwerken erop gezet dan de 3 mannen en de tekst.

With 2 different Distress inks i made the strip splattered some water

on it and dried it. Then i stamped the clocks in 3th generation

stamping and then the 3 men and the sentiment.
