More waste - Meer afval

Het lijkt er wel op alsof al die afval achtergronden mijn creativiteit stimuleert. Dus ook vandaag een kaart gemaakt met een stuk afval karton. Ik beloof jullie dat de kaart die ik voor morgen in petto heb NIET gemaakt is met een stuk afval. ;-)

Hi, hi there,

It looks as if all those waste pieces stimulate my crafty juices big time. The idea's keep on coming. So that means that today's card is also made from a piece of waste. But I promise that the card I have ready for you for tomorrow is NOT made of a piece of waste. ;-)

De achtergrond is dus rest afval van het werken op de gelli plate met acrylverf.

The background is waste from working on my gelli plate with acrylic paint.

1) Ik heb op het paneel eerst een StudioLight achtergrond stempel met Stazon blauw en zwart. Je stempelt het beste met Stazon op acryl verf. 

1) On that waste panel I first stamped a StudioLight background stamp with Stazon blue and black. I have noticed it's best you stamp with Stazon on acrylic paint.

2) Dan heb ik onderaan de opspattende water poel gestempeld met embossing inkt en heat set met WoW Blue Tang EP

2) Then I stamped below the splashing water puddle with embossing powder and heat set with WoW Blue Tang EP.

3) Ik wilde de illusie verkrijgen dat de libelle uit de waterpoel op vloog. En dat het daardoor komt dat de waterpoel op spat. Ook de libelle is met Blue Tang EP erop gezet. Alsook li en re onderaan de water druppels.

3) I wanted to create the illusion that the dragon fly flew up from the water puddle and that would then be the reason why the puddle splashes. I stamped and heat set the dragon fly also with Blue Tang EP aswell as the water drops left and right of the puddle.

4) Als laatste het SL tekstje erop gezet met Stazon jet black. Gemat op een witte basis kaart. Klaar!

4) To finish up I stamped the sentiment which says "Happiness lies in the little things" with stazon jet black. Matted on a white base card. Ready!

Voorbeeldkaarten/Example Cards - Workshop Gelli Plate Deel 2/Part 2

Gisteren was ik er niet in blogland, ik was druk bezig met het voorbereiden van de workshop die ik deze week in Zoersel op verplaatsing ga geven. Ik ga daar aan een groep op vraag de scheerschuim workshop geven. Dus maak ik vandaag mijn blogrondje bij jullie dubbel.

Yesterday I wasn't around in blogland because I was very bussy preparing a workshop I am giving out this week. I am going to give the shaving foam workshop to a group on demand. Still needed to make all the example cards. So I will make a double blog round today to visit you guys.

Vandaag heb ik de voorbeeldkaartjes van mij workshop Gelli Plate deel 2 voor jullie. Deze zijn allemaal met verf gemaakt in plaats van met inkt en het zal je meteen opvallen dat dit een heel ander soort kaarten is dan wanneer je met inkt werkt. 

Today I have the example cards from my workshop Gelli Plate Part 2 for you. These are all made with paint instead of with inks. You will immediately notice that these are totally different from the cards made with inks.

Sommige foto's zijn flets van kleur, dat ligt aan de foto want de kaarten zelf zijn heel fel en kleurrijk. Jammer dat de foto's mislukt zijn ik weet niet wat er gebeurd is.

Some pictures are quit dull, but that's the pictures because the cards themselves are very bold coloured. That's too bad, sad the pics are failed. I really don't know what happened.

Ook met de afval van deze workshop kun je nog leuke kaarten maken en je hoeft lang niet alleen maat te stempelen. Als je tijdens het werken op je gelli plate je roller proper rolt op een stuk papier of karton dan kun je met die afval dus nog een kaart maken.

Also with your scraps you can make a fun card. And you surely don't always just have to stamp. When you roll off your brayer on a piece of scrap while working on your gelli plate, keep this scrap. It is those scraps I used for the last 2 cards.

Creative Corner Chall. Ladies Night

Our theme this week is "Ladies Night"

That can be anything, it's just how you interpret

it. I had the term "Dancing" in mind.

Vrijdag 6 mei vandaag, goh jongens wat vliegt de

tijd toch snel. Het is alweer tijd voor een nieuwe

challenge bij Creative Corner Challenge Blog ~ 

Team Jess. Ja, daar ben ik ook bij.

Het thema voor deze week is "Ladies Night"

Dat kan gelijk wat zijn, hoe jullie dit interpreteren.

Ik had het woord "Dansen" in gedachte.

So here's my DT card.

Dus hier is mijn DT kaartje.

And here's my card recepi:

First I dabbed 3 colours of paint on my craft sheet;

Distress paint blueprint sketch + Distress paint broken 

china + Adirondack acrylic paint Pearl

I sprayed a lot of water on it next I sprayed water

on a piece of white cardstock and smooshed it around

in the paint on my sheet. The pearl paint gives it

a nice pearlescent look. I dried it with my heat gun.

Next I took some stamps inked them with the left

over paint and stamped them randomly on my piece.

Then I stamped my image but I hadn't inked up

my (new) stamp well enough so I added

colour with a waterbrush using DI black soot.

Then I sprayed the entire piece with Perfect Pearls

Mist BUT i hadn't dried my piece first so my black

soot started bleeding (OFCOURSE, you silly) but

actually in the end I kinda like this effect because this

dancing woman is wearing an organza fabric like

skirt and the bleeding of the ink strengthens this look.

Then I used the same stamps as i used for my background

to stamp around the edge of my base card, using 

Adirondack Stonewashed stamping in second generation.

For my sentiment I stamped black boxes and then 

stamped the letters in them with Versamark, heat set

with white detail embossing powder.

I glued everything together using foam for the

sentiment to add some depth.

Hier is mijn kaart recept:

Ik heb eerst 3 kleuren verf op mijn craft sheet

aangebracht nml Distress paint blueprint sketch +

Distress paint broken china + Adirondack acrylic 

paint Pearl. Daar heb ik veel water over gesprayed.

Dan heb ik een stuk wit kaartkarton ook nat gesprayed

en rond gedraaid in de verf op mijn craft sheet.

De Pearl verf geeft het geheel een mooie parelmoer

look. Dit stuk heb ik gedroogd met de heat gun. Daarna

heb ik enkele stempels genomen die beinkt met de verf

die nog op mijn craft sheet lag en die afgedrukt op mijn

stuk hier en daar. Vervolgens heb ik de danseres gestempeld

maar ik had ze niet goed genoeg beinkt dus heb ik ze verder

ingekleurd met een water brush en DI black soot.

Daarna heb ik het gehele stuk besprayed met Perfect

Pearls Mist. MAAR ik had mijn afbeelding niet eerst

gedroogd en dus begon de inkt uit te lopen. (Natuurlijk

dommie) maar eigenlijk, uiteindelijk is het wel mooi zo

omdat de dame een organza jurk aan heeft en dat gevoel

wordt door het uitbloeden van de inkt versterkt.

Ik heb dezelfde stempels die ik voor de achtergrond had 

gebruikt, ook gebruikt om de rand rondom mijn basis

kaart te stempelen in 2de generatie stempelen met

Adirondack Stonewashed. Voor de tekst heb ik eerst

de kleine boxen in zwart gestempeld, dan de letters

toegevoegd in Versamark en verwarmd met wit detail

embossing poeder.  Mijn danseres paneel opgekleefd op

de basis kaart en de tekst met foam tape voor wat diepte.

Here some detail pictures. Unfortunatly you do not see

the shimmer very well I sprayed on it.

Hier nog enkele detail foto's. Helaas zie je de glans van

de spray niet zo heel goed op foto.
