Onverwacht overlijden/Unexpected death

Zo dadelijk vertrek ik naar een begrafenis. In onze kennissen kring is iemand zeer onverwacht en plots overleden. Dus heb ik gisteren nog een condoleance kaartje gemaakt. Het is er eentje met PanPastel geworden.

In a minute I will be leaving the house to go to a funeral. Among our acquaintances someone has passed away as unexpected as sudden. So yesterday I made a sympathy card to take along. It has become one made with PanPastel.

De druppels zijn voor mij symbolische tranen.

The drops are to me a symbol of tears.

Ook vandaag een condoleance kaartje. Maar een heel ander. Ik heb gewerkt met een embossing folder en de Nuvo embellishment mousse. Ben benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden.

Vandaag een gecondoleerd kaartje, helaas hebben we dat regelmatig nodig. Ik heb er dan ook altijd enkele op voorraad voor onverwachte situaties.

Today I have a sympathy card to show you. Unfortunatly we do need these on a regular base. So therefore I always have a few in my stash for nforseen situations.

De bloemen zijn van een MFT stempel set en ik heb ze bewerkt met zilver embossing poeder. Daarna ingekleurd met Wink of Stella Zilver en Zwart. En alhoewel de Wink of Stella's glitter pennen zijn vind ik het toch niet te opzichtig en toch nog subtiel. Vinden jullie dat ook niet ? De tekst is ook met embossing poeder gedaan maar dan op een strook vellum.

The flowers are a MFT stamp set and I stamped them and heat set them with silver embossing powder. Then I coloured them in with a Wink of Stella pen Silver and Black. And although the Wink of Stella's are glitter pens I don't find it too much it still is subtle. Don't you think too ? The sentiment is also heat set with embossing powder but then on Vellum.

Hi everyone, and welcome to challenge #108

 

It is time to announce the start of our new challenge over at

Addicted To Stamps Challenge Blog

And the theme of our new challenge for the comming 2 weeks is

"Stamping and Die Cuts"

Which means we need to see some stamping, since we are a

stamping blog and this time we need to see DIE CUTS.
That's not so difficult I think.


Hallo allemaal, en welkom bij challenge #108

Het is alweer tijd om de start aan te kondigen van onze nieuwe challenge
bij de Addicted To Stamps challenge blog
En het thema van onze uitdaging voor de komende 2 weken is
"Stempelen met Die Cuts"
Dat wil zeggen dat we iets van stempelen moeten zien, we zijn dan ook
een stempel blog en we moeten iets zien van mallen uitsnedes.
Haal dus je stempels boven en je mallen en ga lekker aan de slag.
Deze uitdaging is niet zo moeilijk denk ik.

So here are my 3 inspiration cards for you.
En hier zijn mijn 3 inspiratie kaartjes voor jullie.

 

The first one is a Baby card and I have used stamps from a Joy! Crafts sheet.

My Die Cuts are the bottom of the flowers and the leaves and

they are all from CreaLies as is the little tag at the bottom.

Mijn eerste kaart is een Baby kaartje en ik heb stempels gebruikt van

een Joy! Crafts vel. Mijn Die Cuts zijn de blaadjes en de bodems

onder de rozen en het labeltje onderaan en die zijn allemaal van CreaLies.

 

 

For my second card I stamped the song text in second generation stamping.

Then the grasses at the bottom, and my sentiment.

The birds are my Die Cut.

Voor mijn tweede kaartje heb ik de muziek gestempeld in tweede generatie

stempelen en onderaan de grassen. De vogels zijn mijn Die Cut.

 

 

 

And finally my third card is a sympathy card (again) and here

I stamped script as background and the weeds are a Spellbinders Die.

En tot slot mijn derde kaartje is een condoleance kaart (alweer) en

hier heb ik een script stempel afgedrukt als achtergrond en het koren

is een Spellbinders mal.

With Sympathy

Hi everyone,

Today i'm here with you with a sympathy card that i made for the LIM challenge.
Theire new challenge theme is "Predominantly Black". As you all know by now
i absolutely love CAS cards but i am not very skilled in making them. So i am
very happy with the LIM challenges because they give me the opportunity to
improve myself in this. So without further ado here's my card.


Hoi allemaal,

Vandaag kom ik bij jullie met een condoleance kaart die ik gemaakt heb voor de
LIM challenge. Het thema van hun nieuwe challenge is "Predominantly Black".
Zoals jullie ondertussen al wel weten ben ik gek op CAS kaarten maar ben ik er
helemaal niet goed in om ze te maken. Dus ben ik heel blij met de LIM challenges
omdat ze mij de kans geven om hierin beter te worden. Dus zonder nog veel
poespas, hier is mijn kaart.

My base is black linen cardstock on top of that a piece of white

cardstock on which i stamped the cherry blossom branch in black

Archival ink. And to finish it my sentiment also in black Archival.

 

 

De basis is zwart linnen kaartkarton met daarop een stuk wit kaartkarton

waarop ik mijn cherry blossom tak heb gestempeld met Archival Jet Black. Om

het geheel af te werken mijn tekst ook in Archival Black.

I also have another sympathy card to show you, one that i made a few days ago.

 

Ik heb nog een andere condoleance kaart om te tonen, één die ik enkele

dagen geleden heb gemaakt.

 

 

 

This is the outside. With my brushes and Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade

i brushed the frame and the cirkel. Then I stamped the bullrush and the birds

with Stazon Timber Brown. The sentiment too. (It says with sympathy)

Down below the inside of the card.

 

 

Dit is de voorzijde van de kaart. Met mijn borstel en Distress Ink squeezed Lemonade

heb ik de kader geborsteld en de cirkel. Daarna met Stazon Timber Brown

het riet en de tekst gestempeld. Hieronder een foto van de binnenzijde.

 

 



 

On the inside i did the same but this time i used Distress Ink

weathered wood. And i stamped the text and the birds with Stazon

ultramarine. (The text says: Lots of lovely memories soften the grief,

forever gone from your midst forever in your heart.)

 

De binnenzijde heb ik hetzelfde bewerkt alleen heb ik ditmaal DI

weathered wood gebruikt en voor de tekst Stazon Ultramarine.

Again Condolence

Hi all, Hallo allemaal,

 

 

Again i had to make sympathy cards for my family.

When i was so terribly ill a while ago i received a phone call from my cousin

saying that her mother/my aunt was paralized on one side, brought

to hospital where they found out she had a brain tumor.

I couldn't visit her at that moment because i was so ill and because the

week afterwards we had the hobby fair. Last week, before i could make

arrangements to visit her, my cousin called back and told me my aunt had passed

away. It was just a few weeks after she was diagnosed. We were all in shock

she went so quickly. Last month we were all together eating cake and

laughing and telling stories and things.

So last thursday we had the funeral and these are the cards i had made

for my family.

 

 

Alweer heb ik condoleance kaarten moeten maken voor mijn familie.

Toen ik zo ziek was van mijn virus infectie kreeg ik telefoon van mijn nichtje

die me vertelde dat haar moeder/mijn tante dus plots aan één zijde

helemaal verlamd was en naar spoed gebracht was. Daar ontdekten ze een

hersen tumor. Ik kon mijn tante niet gaan bezoeken omdat ik zo ziek was en

de week erna hadden we de hobby beurs. Vorige week, nog voor

ik regelingen kon treffen om mijn tante te gaan bezoeken kreeg ik terug

telefoon van mijn nichtje die me melde dat tante overleden was.

Zo snel is het gegaan, amper enkele weken na de diagnose is ze al overleden.

We waren allemaal in shock dat het zo vreselijk snel is gegaan.

Vorige maand zaten we nog gezellig met z'n allen taart te eten en te lachen.

Vorige donderdag hadden we de begrafenis en dit zijn de kaartjes

die ik voor de familie gemaakt had.

Hallo allemaal,
Hi everyone,

Hier ben ik met alweer mijn laatste kaart als gast designer bij Scrap My Dream .
Wat is deze maand als gast designer snel voorbij gegaan en wat heb ik ervan genoten
dit te mogen doen. De kaartjes die ik vandaag toon zijn condoleance kaartjes voor de twee
dochters en de man van tante Liliane, ze zijn hier in België voor de begrafenis vandaag.
Hoe droevig ook, ook zo'n dingen horen bij het leven vandaar dat ik ook één van deze
kaartjes heb laten dienen als mijn bijdrage kaart als gast designer.

I'm here today with already my last card as guest designer at the Scrap My Dream
challengeblog. This month as guest designer has flown by so fast and I really enjoyed
doing this. The cards I will show you today are sympathy cards. I've made them for the
two daughters and husband of aunt Lily who are here in Belgium for Lily's funeral today.
I didn't have a stamp with the word sympathy in english so I used Thinking of You which
is also appropriate I think ? And how sad this is, it is part of life we cannot avoid disasters
like this when they come our way and therefore I chose one of these cards as my GD card.

Voor alle drie de kaarten heb ik enkel een beetje Distress Ink en een paar stempels gebruikt.

For all three cards I only used a little Distress Ink and some stamps.

Bij cards en scrap is de nieuwe challenge condoleance kaarten maken. Nu wil het toeval
dat we net een begrafenis hebben gehad in de familie en ik 9 condoleance kaartjes heb
gemaakt vorige week. Dus ga ik ze maar gebruiken voor deze challenge. Je mag er drie
inzenden en ik heb er 9 dus ga ik mijn kaarten verdelen over drie verschillende blog posts
en bij elk bericht er één kiezen om in te zenden. In deze post de eerste drie dus.

At cards and scrap the new challenge is sympathy cards. It so happened that we just had
a funeral in our family and that I had to make 9 cards last week. So I will use them for
this challenge. You can join in 3 cards and I have 9 cards so I will devide my cards over
three different blog posts and with every post I will choose 1 card to join in the challenge.
So in this post the first three cards.

8x Gecondoleerd/Condolences

Hallo iedereen,  Hi everyone,

Eerst wil ik graag iedereen van harte bedanken voor hun lieve deelnemings woorden bij het grote verdriet dat onze familie getroffen heeft. Het zal enige tijd vergen om dit een plaats te geven omdat het op zo een brutale manier gebeurd is. Ik had al moeite om voor mijn schoonvader de kaart te maken die jullie in de vorige blogpost hebben gezien maar nu moest ik er nog 7 bij maken voor alle tantes en ooms, de broers en zussen van tante Lilian die zo tragisch omkwam. Het was moeilijk maar ik hoop dat ik de taak toch op een goede manier volbracht heb. Omdat ik vind dat àlle slachtoffers
van die noodlottige vlucht MH17 het verdienen een gezicht te krijgen heb ik op het einde van
deze blogpost twee foto's gezet van tante Lilian. Nogmaals enorm bedankt voor jullie medeleven en berichtje.

First I would like to thank all of you for your condolences and loving support with this big
loss that has hit our family. It will take time to give this a place in our lives because it wasn't only tragic but our aunt Lilian has been ripped out of life in a very brutal way. I already had trouble making the condolence card you saw in the post before this one for my father in-law,
now I had to make seven more for all our aunts and uncles, aunt Lilian's brothers and sisters.
It was extremely difficult because with every card I made I had aunt Lilian's face in front of me
in my mind, but still I hope I pulled it off in a good way. And because I find that every victim of this tragic flight MH17 deserves to have a face, I have posted two pictures of aunt Lilian at the bottom of this post. Again, thank you so much for your sympathy and messages.
