3e KKT en nieuws

Hallo allemaal,

Het is alweer de laatste woensdag van de maand en dan komt het kleurenkaarten team weer in actie. Sarah heeft bij het licht turquoise van vorige maand mosterdgeel gekozen. Ik vond het onmiddellijk een mooie combinatie.

Hi everyone,

It's already the last wednesday of the month and that means it's time for the colour chain team. Sarah chose mustard yellow to go along with the light turquoise that was left over from last month. I immediately liked this combination.

Het zal wel avond zijn eer ik bij jullie langs kan komen omdat ik onverwacht in spoed naar het hospitaal in Leuven moet. Sinds zondag is aan de rechterzijde mijn tandvlees rood en opgezwollen en heb ik elke dag bloedingen. De tandtechnicus die de afwerking van mijn mond gaat doen vond het raadzaam om er een foto van te nemen en naar Leuven te sturen. Dat was maandag avond en er kwam direct de reactie dat ik naar het ziekenhuis moet komen om uit te sluiten dat één van de titanium plaatjes of bouten onstoken zijn. Het is ook zeer pijnlijk dus weer last erbij.

I won't be visiting your blogs until this evening since I have to go to the hospital. Since sunday evening on the right hand side I have a lot of pain, bleeding and swollenness on my gum. They need to be sure there is no infection on the titanium plates in my jaw or on the bolts that keep the plates in their place. It's pretty painfull too.

Maar hier zijn mijn kaarten. Here are my cards.

De woodware bloemen stempel erop gezet met wit embossing poeder. Daarna ingekleurd met Nuvo Alcohol markers de turquoise set. Rondom mosterd gele inkt aangebracht en opgekleefd op een lich turquoise basis kaart.

I did the woodware flower stamp with white embossing powder. Then I coloured in the flowers with Nuvo Alcohol markers the turquoise set. Added musterd yellow ink around and adhered onto a light turquoise base card.

En deze maand is er terug een mannen/jonge kerel kaart bij.

And this month I have again a male card or for a young guy.

Achtergrond gemaakt met Nuvo Aqua Flow markers. De kever erop gestempeld alsook de handlettering tekst. Beide ingekleurd met dezelfde Aqua Flow markers. Met twee stencils de gears en de lijnen onder de kever aangebracht. De sleutels er nog op gestempeld en opgekleefd op een turquoise basis kaart.

I made the background with Nuvo Aqua Flow markers. I stamped the beetle car and the handlettering text. I coloured in both with the same Aqua Flow markers. I used two stencils to add the gears and the lines underneath the car. I adhered it to a turquoise base card.

Snelle kaart/Quick card

Hallo allemaal,

Nu had ik toevallig zelf een beterschapskaart nodig en dan ook nog voor een man. Maar geen inspiratie en meer nog totaal absoluut geen zin om te knutselen. Ik ben er totaal nog niet terug in. Nog veel te veel pijn aan mijn mond en regelmatig wel wat anders dat op de proppen komt. Een zwelling hier weg die dan weer een zwelling daar blootlegt etc...

Now I myself needed a get well soon card for someone, a male above all. But no inspiration and more absolutely, totally so not in the mood for crafting. I am far from being back into it. Still way too much pain in my mouth and on a regular base something else comes up. A part that is not swollen anymore here reveals a swollen part there etc...

De kaart moest dus mega snel kunnen gemaakt worden. En toen bedacht ik me dat de layered STENCIL van Pronti nog steeds ongeopend op mijn werktafel lag. Een lichtje ging branden.

So the card needed to be fixed in no time. And then I remembered I had a layered STENCIL from Pronti on my work table still unopenend. A light bulb went on.

Ik heb er maar meteen twee gemaakt, de tweede heeft een ander tekstje en daar zijn de vogeltjes donkerder. Ik heb VersaMagic inkt gebruikt. De stencil bestaat uit 4 delen. Je brengt eerst deel 1 aan met je lichste kleur, dan stencil 2 met je midden kleur en dan stencil 3 met je donkerste kleur. De vierde stencil zijn teksten maar die heb ik nu niet gebruikt ik heb er een tekstje op gestempeld.

I immediately made two cards, de second one has another sentiment and the birds are darker. I used VersaMagic ink. The stencil contains 4 parts. First you apply the first stencil to your card with your lightest colour, then you aplly stencil 2 with your mid-tone and then stencil 3 with your darkest colour. The fourth stencil are sentiments which I here didn't use now, I stamped a sentiment.

Card 5 new collection

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag nog een kaart gemaakt met materialen van Leane's nieuwste collectie.

Hi everyone,

Today another card made with materials from Leane's newest collection.

Ik heb opnieuw de flower foam gebruikt maar deze keer hem niet bestempeld maar gekreukt en gevorm. Ook de blaadjes zijn van flower foam. Op de achtergrond één van de stencils gebruikt en de labels is een mallen set. Onderaan kun je een volledige materialen lijst vinden.

I again used the flower foam but this time I didn't stamp on it but wrinkled and formed it. The leaves are also made from foam. On the background I used one of the stencils and the labels are a set of dies. Below you find a full supply list.

Zijn die kleine vlindertjes niet schattig?

Nog even wat mijn herstel betreft, niet veel veranderd. Kauwen lukt nog steeds niet en de pijn aan mijn voortanden waar mijn gehemelte doorgespleten werd is er nog steeds. Maar ja 6maanden is 6 maanden natuurlijk en dan moet je niet denken dat het op een week gedaan is.

Concerning my recovery, no change. Chewing still doesn't work and my front upper teeth where they have split my jaw still hurt quit a lot. But then again 6 months are 6 months and then you can't think it will all be resolved in a week.

Card + hospital update

Hoi allemaal,

Vandaag kaartje nummer 2 gemaakt met de spulletjes van de nieuwe lijn van Leane en de update van mijn ziekenhuis check up afgelopen woensdag.

Today card number 2 that I made with the new collection of the Leane range and the hospital check-up update.

Hier al een proevertje. Here a little teaser.

Wat de check up betreft heb ik te horen gekregen wat ik al vreesde. De laatste zwellingen van kaken, bovenlip, onder mijn neus en binnenin mijn mond zullen nog 6 maanden duren om volledig weg te trekken. Dit geld ook voor het gevoel terug krijgen in bovenlip en onder de neus.

Het in de juiste positie brengen van de tanden zal een dik jaar duren. Ik mocht vanaf woensdag terug alles eten maar de professor voegde er meteen aan toe dat ik niet zou kunnen kauwen. Ten eerste omdat mijn boven tanden niet meer op mijn ondertanden passen dit moet eerst allemaal hergepositioneerd worden en ten tweede omdat mijn bovenkaak nu een heel stuk naar voor staat. Mijn hersenen zijn al 50jaar op die oude mond geprogrammeerd.

s'Middags heb ik dan een eerste testje gedaan met een zacht boterhammetje en ja zoals verwacht lukte dat langs geen kanten. En ook gisteren geen succes, het terug leren eten zal ook een lange tijd in beslag nemen. Dus gisteren zat ik toch even in een dipje.

At the check up the proffessor told me what I was afraid for to hear. The last bits of swollenness of cheeks, upper lip, below the nose and inside my mouth will take another 6 months to fully fade away. Also to regain feeling in my upper lip and below my nose will take another 6 months.

To reposition my teeth into the correct position it will take + a year at least. Starting wednesday I could eat everything again but the doc immediately told me I would not be able to chew. Because the position of upper- and lower teeth don't match anymore and also because my upper jaw has moved a lot forewards. My brains are programmed 50years to my old mouth they don't accept this new one. At noon that same day I had my first attempt with a soft slice of bread and as expected I couldn't chew it, not in a million ways. And also yesterday no succes, so I was in a dip yesterday. To learn to eat again will take a loooong time. 

Maar over naar mijn kaartje nu.

But onto my card now.

Ik heb de achtergrond gemaakt met 3 kleuren VersaMagic (zie onderaan in de materialen lijst) Dan heb ik met dezelfde kleuren en een stencil de bladeren aangebracht. Vervolgens met dezelfde kleuren + groen de bloem gestempeld. Als laatste met Versafine zwart de tekst erop gezet.

I made the background with 3 colours VersaMagic (see below the supply list). Then I used the same colours to add the leaves with a stencil. Next with the same colours + green I stamped the flower. And finally I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine black.

Stempelleuh!!!!!

Goedemorgen allemaal,

Ook vandaag een op voorhand gemaakt bericht. Het is momenteel nog heel druk met bijna alle dagen workshops. Gezellig dus. Ik heb gisteren avond laat nog een blogrondje gedaan bij jullie.

Also today a pre-made post. It is still full house here with almost every day workshops. So, all very nice. I made a blog round yesterday evening late to pay you all a visit.

En wat hebben we vandaag? Stempelleuh.... natuurlijk een stempelkaartje. Mijn grote liefde. LOL

And what do we have today? Stampiiiiiiiing.... ofcourse. My true love. LOL

Ik heb eerst een achtergrond gemaakt met verschillende kleurtjes Versamagic inkt. Daarna heb ik extra kleuraccenten aangebracht met dezelfde kleurtjes en met een stencil. Vervolgens de bloemen gestempeld met zwart alsook de tekst. Tot slot in tweede generatie stempelen hier en daar met grijs nog wat structuur gestempeld. gemat op zwart karton en daarna op een dubbele donker roze kaart.

First I made a background with a few different colours of Versamagic ink. Then I gave my background some extra colour accents with the same ink and a stencil or mask. Then I stamped the flowers with black ink also the sentiment. To finish up I stamped in second generation with grey some texture here and there. Layered this onto a black card and then onto a double dark pink base card.

Tutorial Lavinia Card

Vandaag krijgen jullie van mij een stap-voor-stap tutorial voor deze Lavinia kaart. Geniet ervan.

Today I present to you a step-by-step tutorial for this Lavinia card. Enjoy.

HOE DOE JE HET  / HOW TO

1) Je legt een stencil/mask op je karton. Ik heb hier een CreaLies mask gebruikt. (zie foto hieronder, klik erop en je komt in de webwinkel bij dit artikel)

1) Position a mask/stencil onto your card. Here I have used a CreaLies mask. (See pic below. Click on it an you are directed to this article in the webshop)

2) Neem een inkt borstel en een kleur Memento inkt naar keuze. Borstel de inkt losjes over het mask en houd het speels maw zorg dat het patroon ongelijkmatig op je karton zit, borstel niet de hele stencil op je karton slechts een deel ervan en laat de kleur lichter uitwaaieren naar de rand toe.

2) Take an ink brush and a Memento ink pad in the colour of your choice. Brush the ink loose over the mask and keep it playful w.o.w keep the patern uneven don't brush the entire mask onto your card only a part. Brush lighter towards the edges.

    

3) Stempel de Lavinia Fairy Pods met MFT Black Licorice inkt.

3) Stamp the Lavinia Fairy Pods with MFT Black Licorice ink.

   

4) Kleur de bloemen in met een medium naar keuze. Ik heb hier de ZIG alcohol markers gebruikt.

4) Colour the flowers with a medium of your choice. Here I have used the ZIG alcohol markers.

5) Tot slot breng je nog een fijn randje aan met een sponsje en Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. deze mousse geeft een mooie parelmoer glans.

5) To finish up apply with a Nuvo sponge a thin edge of Nuvo Embellishment Mousse around your card. This mousse gives a beautiful pearlescent shine.

   

6) Mat je afgewerkt paneel op zwart karton en daarna op een dubbele kaart in de kleur die bij je ontwerp past.

6) Adhere youre finished card onto a layer of black cardstock and then onto a double base card in the matching colour for your design.

Ook vandaag een snelle blogpost met een stempel kaartje. Ik blijf verzot op de leuke en mooie bloemen stempels van Woodware en dus ook vandaag een kaartje uit deze reeks.

Also today a quick blog post with a stamping card. I keep on being very fond of the fun and beautiful flower stamps from Woodware so today again a card from this series.

Sommige stempels uit deze reeks zijn mooi en sommige zijn grappig. deze is naar mijn smaak één van de leuke, grappige.

Some of the stamps from this series are beautiful and some are funny. To my taste this one is a fun one.

En dan onderstaande kaart is een re-make. Ik heb deze al eens gemaakt maar ik heb enkele veranderingen aangebracht.

Then the second card is a re-make. I've made this one before but I made some adjustments.

Deze versie is iets kleurrijker dan de vorige. Op mijn karton heb ik gesprayd met Lindy's Stamp Gang Glitz Spritz en goed gedroogd. Dan de stempel erop gezet. Het geheel een randje gegeven met Nuvo embellishment mousse. De kaart op een fuchsia basis gekleefd en dan de bolletjes gemaakt met Nuvo crystal drops en ditmaal heb ik ze ook ietsjes groter gemaakt.

This version is a bit more colourful than the previous one. I made my background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Glitz Spritz and dried well. Then I stamped the flowers. Next I gave the card a frame with Nuvo embellishment mousse, adhered it to a fuchsia base card. Last I added the balls with Nuvo crystal drops. This time I've made them a tad bit bigger.
