Metal !

Hi everyone,

Normally i never post on a saturday evening but my card was finished
and there was still enough light to take a picture so therefore
here it is. My second post today and i went from a cute
dozen folds baby card in my first post to a masculin heavy metal
card. LOL

Hallo allemaal,

LOL

The Less is More challenge for this week has for a theme
'Use some Metal"
When i red that i thought what ?!?
How on earth am i going to pull that off ? I had no mojo at all
to get this done.
And for this i was not clever enough to walk on side paths like
using a metal charm or so, the inspiration just didn't came.
So when i was preparing lunch in the kitchen my eye fell on something.
A roll of metal foil or tin foil. Now i happen to have a Spellbinders
folder with tire tracks, so i thought maybe, just maybe i can run this through
my bigshot. So after lunch i gave it a try.
I rapped a piece of that tin foil around a piece of white cardstock
placed it in my embossing folder and ran it through my BigShot.
I must say i almost ruined my BigShot this was the first time ever i used
this embossing folder and i think Spellbinders folders are not meant to go
through the BigShot. My sandwich was too thick and when i opened all my
plates it was too thin. So i layered two rubber mats and  a piece of A4 cardstock
folded  in half on top and boy oh boy it got stuck around the roll that gives pressure.
It has cost me blood, sweat and tears to get it unrapped again.
Both rubber mats and the piece of cardstock were stuck and rolled around it.
It's just a miracle my BigShot is not broken, should have taken a picture
of it but i was suffering from a minor panic attack LOL
BUT i was able (in the end) to get that darn piece of tin foil embossed and
so here's my card. I wonder what you think of it ?!

'Use some Metal'

My sentiment says 'Congratulations'

I would like to enter this card into following challenge:

OMGosh Veerle, I would have been in panic mode too!! I'm so glad thought that you got your embossed image and that your Big Shot didn't break!!! Your card is amazing and I think you had a great idea, but I don't think you will be trying a repeat performance! I know you can use the tin foil in a Cuttlebug embossing folder though. I really do love your masculine card Veerle and I love your metal! Hugs, Brenda

Despite the issues with your big-shot Veerle I think this looks amazing.
A fantastic idea for the challenge and looks super professional.
I also tried a spellbinders die through the bigshot recently and struggled. It didn't get stuck but I did have to faff about with the plates a few times to get the right pressure. Sadly I didn't write down exactly what I did otherwise I'd let you know. If I try it again I'll get in touch! Thanks as always for playing along. Sarah, Less is More.
